NOAH SALO is a long time music snob and freelance writer who has lived in Hamilton, ON for the past three years. He has earned a Bachelor of English Literature from Trent University and a Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University. He is currently studying Journalism at Mohawk College. His long time obsession with music began when he was only four years old and he begged his parents to buy him a copy of a cassette tape they already owned just so he could have his own copy. Over one thousand CDs later he is nowhere near stopping. Noah is also an avid reader with a particular fondness for the works of Thomas Pynchon. When Noah is not listening to (objectively) the greatest music in the world, he likes to chill out with his two-year-old son Finnegan, who, by the way, can dance way better than you.

NEIL NICHOLAS REYES is a journalism student at Mohawk College. He has an English degree from University of Guelph with a minor in Music. He is a lead bassist, guitarist, and back-up vocalist in the Guelph-based band The Misty Flips. Reyes is interested in the creation and production of music. He is fascinated by sounds and their musical qualities, as well as the technology behind them. He collects musical instruments of all types. His CD collection is continuously growing and is now being overrun with vinyl records. In addition to his musical life, Reyes is an avid sports fan. He is a faithful supporter of the Toronto Raptors, Toronto Blue Jays, and the Boston Celtics. He is also a fan of UFC, WWE, and Manny Pacquiao. He can solve a Rubik’s Cube in about three minutes.

Nice to meet you all. Looking foward to reading some of your reviews of local music. Are you interested in any guest posts covering other bands and musical groups?
